starting a new chapter in few weeks

And this new chapter is.....? My third year at RIT! It's also the chapter that I will finally get my AS degree, start taking BA level classes and finally be on track towards graduation. It is the chapter where I will experience Rochester to the fullest, I finally have a car and finally am 21 years old. This is the chapter where I stop letting little things get to me, and start living for myself.

But how am I starting off this chapter?



A road trip from California to New York with my dad and my new car!


Driving 25+ hours straight to Texas is incredibly scary but exhilarating, dad and I are gonna try switch seats every 2-3 hours so we can sleep in the passenger seat and feel awake enough for the next leg. We want to make good time arriving Texas so we can slow down a little going up north to New York.

As you can see, we're making pit stops in Austin and Houston. We're visiting the University of Texas, Austin campus for few hours and visiting my old hometown, then heading to Houston to visit my grandparents and other family members! It's been a long while since I visited Texas (2008, I think). So it's a trip long overdue!

After making a stop in Houston, maybe for a day total (more likely arriving dinner time then leaving the next day after lunch), we're heading right up north towards Nebraska, then Ohio then Rochester, New York.

I'm incredibly excited to move in with three other amazing girls. This year is going to be extremely exciting and interesting, yet a huge growing up moment for me. I have apartment rent to pay, along with food, gas, car, and other things to pay for. Crossing my fingers for a successful year!
